What is the problem you found?

That planes are not sustainable, and use a large amount of fuel that are emitted into the atmosphere.
In the future of travel project I chose the area of sustainability, and found that travel accounts for one quarter of the worlds carbon dioxide release- which then largely contributes to all then greenhouse gases trapped in the atmosphere that trap heat on earth warming the planet. This has many detrimental effects such as a more extreme climate, like droughts and floods.

What is your opportunity?

How might we reduce the amount of fuel planes use to reduce emissions?

Who is your audience?

The customers of my idea are tourists travelling by plane to other places in the world. This will benefit everyone in the world by slowing global warming by producing a more sustainable way of travelling by plane.

What Is Your Solution?

My solution is to construct planes out of Allite Super Magnesium, which is stronger and 33% lighter than aluminium (which is in current use).

Even though it is more expensive, we can raise the price of the plane trip to make a profit. Because people are becoming willing to pay more money for a sustainable choices, they will use this transportation company called Elite Planes (Elite is a pun on Allite) at a higher price to decrease climate change.

Due to it's lighter weight it will reduce fuel usage by almost a third. For example on a trip from Australia to America thsi ingenious idea would save 410 litres of fuel!
